How to Run SpyHunter in Safe Mode

Safe Mode is the operating system’s state in which troubleshooting and startup can be accomplished. Using Safe Mode, the user is able to see the important files and drivers, so, is enabled to erase various types of diseases, spyware, malware and etc., that cannot be done while computer in working in the usual Normal Mode. The Safe Mode can be launched in two ways: using System Configuration Utility and relying on F8 key method. In the further paragraphs you can find all the information regarding the Safe Mode launching methods.

Safe Mode with F8 Key

  1. You are advised to print out the tips as during the process system is going to be shut down. If you have any files opened, save them before beginning the procedure.
  2. Reboot the PC.
  3. While PC reboots, just before operating systems launches, the black screen should appear, including statements or computer manufacturer name written in white. In case you see the statement Please select the operating system to start, click on F8 key.Note: At the moment the first black screen appears, click on and for the moment hold F8 key, and keep doing it until Windows Advanced Options launches. Don’t be surprised if you hear any beeps – they’re usual.Note: If instead the black screen with the white texts you see the Windows logo, you’ve done too much. Then, just wait the computer to be launched in Normal Mode and repeat the Step 2.
  4. When you finally find yourself in Windows Advanced Options menu, choose Safe Mode with Networking selection and then press Enter using the keyboard.

  5. Select the operating system you need to be launched in Safe Mode.Note: In this step you may see no operating system to be chosen. This means that such kind of choice menu is not included in your system.

  6. After the Safe Mode loading is completed, the warning will appear in the screen, telling you that Windows is running in Safe Mode. For Safe Mode to be continued, choose Yes button.windows running safe mode How to Run SpyHunter in Safe Mode

Safe Mode with System Configuration Utility

REMEMBER: This method doesn’t fit in case your computer is run with WINDOWS 2000/NT.

  1. You are advised to print out the tips as during the process system is going to be shut down. If you have any files opened, save them before beginning the procedure.
  2. If you are in Safe Mode, now rely on the tips provided below.

WINDOWS VISTA/WINDOWS 7:

Press on Windows logo option and enter Run in the Search programs and files box which is in All Programs section.

WINDOWS XP:

Press Start and then Run.

Now, the Run window will appear. Into the Open box, enter msconfig -4 (notice the space between the word and the dash).

Choose OK.

  • In the System Configuration Utility, in Boot option (of the left side), look at the SAFEBOOT option,and make sure that MINIMAL is left aschecked, and then choose OK.
  • Now, the screen will be covered with the statement You must restart your computer for some of the changes made by System Configuration to take effect. So, press Restart for the PC to be shut down and rebooted to Safe Mode.

In Safe Mode, now rely on the tips of running Spyhunter on Safe Mode.

Running Spyhunter on Safe Mode

Unfortunately, SpyHunter 4 cannot be launched automatically while on Safe Mode. So, follow the steps to run SpyHunter in Safe Mode:

  • Find SpyHunter shortcut on your PC and press twice on it.
  • In the Spyhunter side menu, choose SpyHunter Scanner tab.
  • Press on Start Scan.
  • After the end of the scanning process, choose Start Remove.
  • Now, after the deletion procedure, repeat Steps 1 and 2 once again. After finishing Step 2 again, restart the PC.

Note: Truly, the user is not obliged to perform the scan twice in a row. You are only advised to do that for your own benefit, just to ensure that no threats will be left in the system.

  • Leave the computer rebooting on Normal Mode. Now, ignore Safe Mode option. If the warning questioning which mode you want to select appears, choose Start Windows Normally/Normal.
  • In the Normal Mode, launch and run SpyHunter anti-malware again.

Reboot on Normal Mode with System Configuration Utility

REMEMBER: Do not exclude this step. Moreover, keep doing it only after Spyhunter was used. Rely on Running Spyhunter on Safe Mode tips and then reboot the PC on Normal Mode.

  • While on Safe Mode, keep following these advices.

  • Now, the screen will be covered with the statement You must restart your computer for some of the changes made by System Configuration to take effect. So, press Restart for the PC to be shut down and rebooted to Normal Mode.
  • After this, you will see the statement You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way windows starts. So now ensure that you leave Do not show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts checked, and choose OK.
  • Being again in Normal Mode, launch and run SpyHunter removal tool once again.
